Week 4/5 - Shape and silhouette / Form & Contours Week

Using contours is very useful with different objects that have curves as well as shape and form. The lines of the contours show the way the curves of the objects are. Example of this is the glass on the right, by creating contours on the object it shows the curve. Then by creating the shadow from the contour the curve of the glass is shown more clearly. In the image below it shows what has been done in lesson and shows a set of objects. These objects all have contours in place and some shading done on them. This shows clearly the way the object is and the shape of the objects from that perspective. The shape of the skull is a very clear one, with the horn having a clear roundness shape to it. These give a depth of an objects and how you would normally see a curve. When using highlights and shading it can give an object a better 3D and curved look which makes it more realistic. This is shown on both images with the image on the top with the glass and the image below with the Jug.
